Guest Teaching
Available for workshops, intensive blocks, and trimester-length courses at acting schools, film schools, and university departments. All courses taught in English and/or Spanish.
Scene Breakdown for Screen Actors
A 12-week script analysis course built around film and television. Students read and analyze scenes from movies and series — identifying what the script is already giving the actor: objectives, obstacles, relationships, beats, tactics — and watch those choices land on screen. Grounded in Practical Aesthetics, for finding a clear and playable action, and Meisner, for staying present to what is actually happening between you and the other actor. At a second level, students go deeper into the character's inner life, exploring the thoughts that support their actions. Scenes across genres, in English and/or Spanish.
Scene Coaching for Actors:
Reels & Self-Tapes
A fully practical, on-your-feet course. Students work on scenes in a group — audition material or reel scenes chosen together — through three stages: cold reading, rehearsal, and shooting. The aim is for actors to find clarity in what to focus on in order to play freely. Being in the room with other actors is part of the learning: watching, reflecting, understanding what works and why. Students leave with self-tapes — one or more depending on the time available, and a full film scene when production allows.
